Family & Community Services

Casework staff is the backbone of our Family & Community Programs & Services. Caseworkers meet face to face with families to complete a thorough intake assessment in order to determine the available resources of the family, our organization, and the community. Advocacy and linkages to existing public and private resources are central to obtaining the assistance that families need.

Families that are struggling to meet their basic needs often benefit from a wide range of assistance. Staff is trained to know eligibility requirements and available community resources to help resolve a family’s immediate crisis often caused by inadequate income.

Last year, 4,152 households consisting of 13,895 individuals benefited from the assistance provided by Catholic Charities casework staff and volunteers.
