Services are provided at no cost to clients who are 60 and older.

Some think that feeling blue, cranky, confused and forgetful are a natural part of growing older. The truth is that depression in older adults is a serious condition and it is very treatable. Asking for help or guidance is never easy but this is especially so when you are feeling lonely and tired. Here's a short list of questions to ask yourself:
• Do I have unexplained or aggravated aches and pains?
• Have I had a of loss of interest in activities that I would normally like?
• Have my eating and/or sleeping habits changed?
• Are family and friends showing concern about my behavior?
• Is it hard for me to interact with friends and loved ones?
• Do I feel hopeless?

Trained, experienced counselors offer a proven model to address the symptoms of depression. Services are provided at no cost to clients 60 and older. This is special program of the Counseling Services of Catholic Charities funded by Riverside County Department of Mental Health through the Mental Health Services Act. Certain communities are targeted for this program in each of three regions in Riverside County.
